The right to be informed
Victims of crime or their lawful representatives, including the next of kin of homicide victims, are entitled to the right to be informed.

The right to be present
Victims of crime or their lawful representatives, including the next of kin of homicide victims, are entitled to the right to be present.

The right to be heard
(a) Victims of crime or their lawful representatives, including the next of kin of homicide victims, are entitled to the right to be heard when relevant, at all crucial stages of criminal proceedings.

Please refer to the State of Florida Article I, Section 16 for further information regarding the victims' rights.

ARTICLE I, SECTION 16.

16. RIGHTS OF ACCUSED AND OF VICTIMS.

(b) Victims of crime or their lawful representatives, including the next of kin of homicide victims, are entitled to the right to be informed, to be present, and to be heard when relevant, at all crucial stages of criminal proceedings, to the extent that these right do not interfere with the constitutional rights of the accused.
