Marc Klaas – FounderIn the aftermath of the Oct 1, 1993 kidnap & murder of his 12-year-old daughter Polly, Marc gave up his lucrative rental car franchise to pursue an aggressive child safety agenda. He promotes innovative solutions & proven programs that positively impact crime, abuse & neglect that plague children. He counsels & advises numerous victim families & families of kidnapped children. Marc has appeared on most television news magazines, syndicated talk shows & is a regular resource for CNN, FOX & MSNBC. Marc has been a board member since 1994.

John Klaas – Treasurer: John is the Founder/CEO of Schaumberg, IL based Puzzle Wealth Solutions. Before Puzzle, John was Senior Vice President of The Klaas Group at UBS for 14 years. Prior to that he spent 18 years at Morgan Stanley and a tenure at Burton and Associates. John believes in delivering holistic wealth management solutions to clients. He enjoys partnering with them on asset allocation and total portfolio management with a focus on charitable giving and estate planning.

Violet Klaas – Founder/Secretary: Violet has volunteered her time and services as KlaasKids Foundation Office Manager for more than 26 years. She is also a member of the non-profit Grief Haven Advisory Board.  Violet is a Licensed Real Estate professional working in the industry in Marin and San Francisco Counties. Violet has been a board member since 1994.

Andrew Klaas – Andrew is a fully licensed and practicing Attorney with The Law Offices of Fedor Kozlov, P.C. His primary focus’ are in litigation, domestic disputes, family law, and estate planning. He previously practiced law for the SIU Domestic Violence Clinic, and volunteers for the Chicago Bar Association, Kane County Bar Association, and Willow Creek Community Church’s Awana program. His focus with the KlaasKids Foundation is maintaining the lawful and aggressive fight for child safety. Andrew has been a board member since 2019.

Michael Groves-Michael was a trial attorney defending public entities for 38 years. He was with the San Jose City Attorney’s Office for 22 years, primarily defending the SJ Police Department and individual police officers in civil cases, numerous of which involved police intervention in child abuse. Before that he was a Partner in the Elliason Law Firm in San Francisco. Following the San Jose years, he defended the police in numerous Bay Area cities. Michael is a life long friend of the Klaas family. He performed the Eulogy at Polly’s Memorial Service. Michael joined the board in 2023.
