Roller Skating Safety
Roller-skating is a safe, healthy sport when safe skating guidelines are followed.
- Be aware of other skaters and objects that may be in your path.
- When skating outside, always wear a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards.
- Look where you are going. This includes when you are skating backwards.
- Don’t throw things. The item you throw could hit another skater or land where someone will skate over it and fall.
- Stay aware of your surroundings at all times. This means that you shouldn’t talk on a cell
- Be aware of other skaters and objects that may be in your path.
